This bubs came to visit my studio in Qatar, for his Cake smash photoshoot studio session  It took him a little while to warm up to being in front of the camera but he finally did.

Being a mum also, it is  bittersweet to see baby grow but missing those tiny toes.  Couldn’t be more grateful to have such a wonderful family to work with. The cake smash session is the best gift you can give to your baby on their birthday.

First birthday is very exciting milestone for the baby and parents. Year of sleepless nights, year of understanding  and adjusting to new experience of being mum and Dad. Hence first birthday is very exciting and overwhelming at the same time.  Overwhelmed with the many ideas ? 1- KEEP IT FUN

First thing is always have fun, and keep it fun for the babies. Don’t stress it out and don’t make it stress full for babies.  

2- MAKE IT NATURAL.

Given the nature of the session, As photographers try to capture cake smash photos in natural approach. Whereas as parents be sure to set realistic expectations for how long it may take. Some babies take the whole cake down in first go, whereas some may  take longer than others. Occasionally some  decide not to play along at all. The bottom line is make sure baby had fun.

Few years from now, when you will be looking at the photos of your baby’s tiny hand, feet and those big curious eyes, you should be able recall many memories. How they used to sit, how they used to smile, and most important how they use to make those crying face. so let’s keep your session natural and except all kind of expressions. I was simply heart touched when mum select atleast one crying one in their gallery for memory making

3- SELECTING THEME

First birthday theme is always what mom and dad’s favorite thing or how their nursery room theme is. A myth that revolves around, “Too much decor, baby gets lost in between” in my case I would say it is not a problem at all… WHY ?

Because no matter what theme / color or  design you choose. Minimal Boho, or all colorful.

I will photograph your baby as a star of the story. All rolls, camera and actions will be on your little bundle of joy.

4- FAMILY FUN

Being tired / sleep deprieved  mum and Dad, I know its difficult to manage your days, but for a moment  get up and  get ready to be part of the session. because years from now, you don’t want to keep saying ” I wish we could have done some photos with the baby” or  you don’t want  your baby to mention, hey Mom/Dad were you there on my cake smash/did you see this?

Well oh baby , your mum/dad planned these special memories for you. and that’s why we want them to be photographs as well.

HOW TO BOOK A NEWBORN AND CAKE SMASH SESSION IN DOHA,QATAR

All those amazing photoshoots, you all have been seeing on my  Website with are done with some workflow

I follow a workflow and i want all my clients to follow as well. which you guys have been doing it and loving so far. For a perfect and easy going photoshoot  in Qatar.  

1- Once i and my client agree on the date/ time and requirements of the session. Session will be ONLY secured with the PAID DEPOSIT Unsecured date/time is open for other families so secure your session immediately.

2- On the session date , Please arrive on time, so we do not loose any part of the session. I always encourage families to leave with 15 minute extra margin of what map shows

3- After the session, i send “Proofing gallery” to my clients where they can do their selection of images (online) NO RAWS – OR UNEDITED WILL BE SENT (except for selection purpose ) however you can buy extra images in Edited format

4- Keep your expectation realistic for the whole session. Any harsh behavior of parents towards their child or me , if their kids are not cooperating during the session. i will have all the rights to end the session.

5- DON’T compare your session with any other session. Each session is unique because each Baby is unique. My work is not “ One filter fits all” I give time to each session individually.

6- I do edit the images to bring out best of the colors and tones of themes, Removal of blemishes, baby acne etc but Bring your clothes ironed, Hair done, SO keep your expectation realistic.

Being a mum myself i am extra carefull with the babies and kids Over the year i have developed some tips and tricks, to bring out those smiles during the session.

I always enter with positive mind, so should you. it really helps. your child does not like wearing headband or bow tie, let it be. it not more important than A happy baby

A happy mindset always produce A perfect session. so yes thats how i create those amazing beautiful images
